The Pound Ridge Library Foundation has as a primary goal to raise money for the Capital Campaign that will underwrite construction of new space to meet the expanding needs of the Library for the 21st Century. The building project has long been part of the Library’s long range plan and will include enhanced service features as well as increased space. The initial estimate in 2004 was a need for approximately $3 million. Realistically, that amount has increased in the last eight years. The likelihood is that we will need to raise substantially more through the Capital Campaign to meet the objectives in terms of end result. To date approximately $865,000 has been raised.
Because this is a long term project, your Library District Board of Trustees actively reviews the plans to insure they meet the anticipated needs of future generations. The Board currently has appointed an Expansion Committee to fulfill this objective. The Pound Ridge Library Foundation welcomes this proactive approach to meeting our community’s needs.
