Your support rewards your community, your family
If you are one of the many friends of the Pound Ridge Library who have supported the Pound Ridge Library Foundation’s fundraising efforts in the past, we are truly grateful and encourage your continued participation. If you’ve not joined us yet, we invite you to become part of building the future of this vital town resource.
Beyond the stacks, the book clubs and the children’s story hours, the library is the cultural hub of our community. It’s a meeting place for more than 20 of our town organizations: Girl Scouts, garden club, theater group, art guild, Pound Ridge Police Assoc and land conservancy, just to name a few. It’s an art gallery, with exhibits of paintings, drawings, photography and sculpture that rotate every six weeks. It’s a theater for classic films and movies that you may not see anywhere else. It’s a concert hall, featuring the very best of local musical talent.
The library brings the world to Pound Ridge. Your library card and the new website will connect you to dozens of research resources, not to mention downloads of current e-bestsellers and classics, for FREE. Ask our librarians; they’ll be happy to show you around this incredible gateway to information.
In the broadest sense, supporting your local public library furthers a national legacy of libraries as educational institutions that are open to all, free of charge.
On a local level, like a first-rate school system, a thriving community library enhances real estate values because it provides invaluable resources for enriching the minds and lives of residents – an attractive asset to existing and prospective residents.
